ABOUT ME
MY STORY
Sarah has been in the financial industry since 2005, holding roles from entry level overview of basic documentation for a loan to building territories to reviewing credit to managing a team of underwriters. One of her last roles in the corporate environment was as a process consultant where she coached and trained associates, process managers, administrative assistants, department managers, and others in problem solving, design thinking, and process improvement. The years as an underwriter and document analyst provided skillsets that provided a greater perspective of the financial struggles facing everyday families and business owners.
In 2019, she left the corporate environment and founded the 501(c)3 nonprofit Elf Army of Light, a non-religious community of resources and support for bereaved families experiencing pregnancy loss and infant death. These resources include information on what to do, what to say, and what not to say to those in grief. During this time, she obtained life and securities as well as long term care and disability certifications focused on investment, savings, and insurance. She provided business and personal benefits to employers and employees while being an ambassador for a Foundation that provides training and resources to teachers on how to identify, interact with, and support grieving children. This blend of her passion, activism, and professional skills was what led her to create her own brand, Act of Change, to combine organization, education, and activation.
Through her activism and leadership, Sarah has been featured in radio interviews, networking organization spotlights, and is a graduate of a North Texas city Leadership program.
From consultations to workshops to organization and design sessions, Sarah is ready to help you lay out the problem so you can walk forward one step at a time.
